WINTER 冬

蒼鎧 SŌGAI

SŌGAI (蒼鎧) is a profound exploration of “Wearable Architecture.” It is a piece that demands a dialogue between the wearer and their environment. Inspired by the traditional armor of the East and the cold, metallic aesthetics of a speculative future, this work serves as a physical manifestation of identity.
The back of the piece acts as a canvas, posing a critical existential question: “Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be?” This turns the wearer into a walking gallery, inviting onlookers into a shared moment of introspection.
Structural Transformation
This is a modular masterpiece designed to evolve. Through an intricate system of hidden, colorful zippers, the sculpture can be reconfigured into four distinct silhouettes:
  • The Full Monument: A 130cm floor-length mantle of sapphire light.
  • The Cropped Bolero: A sharp, angular study in proportion.
  • The Puffer: A structured, volumetric form.
  • The Scarf: A deconstructed fragment of the larger whole.

Length: 130 cm
Fabric: Italian metallic sapphire winter textile
Details: Reflective piping at the seams, collage with a statement quote on the back, colourful zipper
Lining: matte black underneath
Reversible: Yes
